Role Description

You may choose to be a Wellness Researcher or Writer or Designer (your choice!) and actively work alongside us and our partners to:

  • support research and content creation in the wellness space

  • develop content for collaboration and campaigns



(i) Wellness Researcher:

  • Conduct in-depth research on wellness-related topics to develop original content

  • Provide write-ups on current and forthcoming wellness-related content while gaining a deeper understanding of wellness and its future trends

  • Identify audience's needs and recommend new content to address gaps in the TWIS current content


(ii) Wellness Writer:

  • Develop content for blogs, articles, social media, and the TWIS website based on completed curated research

  • Develop strategies that will increase reader engagement by: using SEO to increase traffic and creating compelling headlines and body copy that will capture the attention of the target audience (this includes proofreading content and editing and polishing existing content to improve readability)


(iii) Wellness Designer:

  • Develop, create and share attractive social media content like graphics, videos, and other forms of content (using platforms like Canva) to capture audience attention

Volunteer Role Description


When children are being read stories, there are many benefits they gain. We are therefore looking for volunteers to read to our children with learning and special needs, ranging from K1 to P6. The programme aims to spread that joy of  stories and reading to these children so that they can reap the benefits too.

The 12-week programme will be held over Zoom, with each session lasting about 45 minutes to 1 hour. The session timing is flexible; volunteers will liaise with the family to set their sessions.

The sessions will either be on a weekly or fortnightly basis. Volunteers committing on a fortnightly basis will be grouped with others on a similar schedule, and will rotate with the other group to read to the assigned beneficiary.

Volunteer Specifications & Additional Information

  • Age: 16 years old and above.  An adult must accompany interested volunteers who are under the age requirement.

  • Have a good command of the English language. They need to be able to read fluently, with good pronunciation and enunciation.

  • Volunteers are to volunteer in pairs or in groups of 4. Volunteers who sign up alone will be paired up. Each pair will have at least 1 female volunteer.

  • Able to commit weekly for 12 weeks (or 6 weeks in groups of 4). The timing for reading is flexible and up to the volunteers to arrange with the families.

  • Comfortable with using Zoom to engage and read to children. Training will be provided to familiarise volunteers with the usage of Zoom.
