  • Provide tuition to K2 - Sec 4 children on a weekly basis.

  • Mentor the youth and be a positive role model

  • Encourage healthy self-esteem and build self-confidence in the children

Volunteer Specifications

  • Preferably experienced in teaching children (e.g. current or ex-teachers)

  • Able to handle oneself in a professional and mature manner

  • Willing to travel to onsite location (Christ Church Secondary School)

ComLink Ambassador

Ministry of Social and Family Development

Make quarterly phone calls to ComLink families to conduct well-being check ins and share with family on upcoming programmes.


The objective is to ensure the families' well-being, provide support and link up family to relevant resources


Provide a listening ear and emotional support to families staying in rental flats 


Provide a bridge between such families to services, schemes and programmes that they need and that will benefit them that they may have challenges accessing without support 


Serve as eyes and ears on the ground to raise up any emerging risks/needs early, so that they may be supported by the relevant agencies

i. Mimimum age = 21 years old 


ii. Gender - No restriction


iii. No certifications/licenses neede


iv. No equipment/vehicle required 


v. Interested in social service sector 


vi. Empathetic and caring individuals who are patient to listen and build rapport with the befriendees 


vii. Able to understand the needs of disadvantaged families, preferably has prior befriending/mentoring experiences 

viii. Softphone accounts will be provided for phone calls. 

Volunteers may still be required to use their own mobile phone to text or converse with clients. 

Volunteers will need to use their own mobile phone/iPad/laptop to key in observations into an online form 


ix. Preferably able to converse in an additional language other than English language, especially Malay 


x. Preferably with at least 6 months of volunteering experience or received relevant trainings 


xi. Preferably living near Woodlands/Sembawang area, or willing to travel to conduct home visits for families that are not contactable 


xii. Must be fully vaccinated

Volunteer Role Description

  • What is required of the job: Able to converse in English and Mandarin, Able to connect with seniors, patient with strong interpersonal skills 

  • Responsibilities / Assignments: Make 1 phone call every fortnight to one or two seniors preferably on weekdays  mornings or afternoons and engage in  conversation of mutual interest,  offering support and guidance. Volunteer has to provide regular updates of conversation to Programme Manager. Volunteers will be using their  own phone to dial the seniors. Each call can take about ten to thirty minutes. 

  • Attire Required: Smart Casual, Presentable 

  • Service Area: Phone Befriending

  • To reach out to seniors and ensure the  safety and well-being of seniors who  might be socially isolated due to the  situation

Volunteer Specifications

  • Able to converse in English and additional native language (Mandarin)

Vigil Angels

Volunteer Role Description

  • Project Vigil Angel aims to provide a very dignified death for the dying clients and leaving behind a comforting memory for the bereaved  families

  • To partner a nurse to provide basic nursing care for clients and respite care for the family

  • Volunteers will be invited to support when a client makes a request. This can be within 24h on weekdays or Saturdays. The team will typically provide the  experience between 9am - 6pm from Mon - Sat
