  • Tele-Befriending
    - Reach out to families under ComLink@Marsiling to ensure their well-being and provide support
    - Befriend youths to improve after-programme engagement.
    - Assess living situation of clients.
    - Identify clients for referrals.Promote programmes under ComLink@Marsiling and encourage participation.

Volunteer Specifications:

  • Able to conduct regular calls at least once a week for each household.

  • Friendly, good listening and communication skills, caring nature.

  • Able to converse in Mandarin/Malay

Champion Kids

Singapore Anglican Community Services (SACS)

Volunteer Role Description

  • Provide tuition to primary school age and Sec 1 children on a weekly basis.

  • Mentor the children and be a positive role model

  • Encourage healthy self-esteem and build self-confidence in the student

Champion Kids is a community programme between SACS and Light of Christ Church at Champions Court, Woodlands

Volunteer Specifications

  • Preferably experienced in teaching students (e.g. current or ex-teachers)

  • Able to handle oneself in a professional and mature manner

  • Willing to travel to tuition location

  • Enjoys interacting with students

Comlink Outreach and Needs Assessment

Volunter Role Description:

  • Conduct door-to-door outreach and administer needs assessment surveys for families residing in rental blocks in Woodlands Town 

  • Volunteers will be reaching out to families with children under 21 years old 

  • Opportunity for volunteers to work with SSO @ Woodlands to design, curate and run local programmes for residents in the rental blocks

Volunteer Specifications

  • At least 18 years old with an interest in the social service sector 

  • Basic interview/ engagement skills 

  • Ability to connect and communicate with various groups and profiles of people 

  • Ability to converse in an additional language other than English 

  • Volunteers should be comfortable with using technology (such as mobile phones/ tablets) to administer surveys 

  • Volunteers should be comfortable with standing and walking without air-condition 

  • Willing to travel to Woodlands/ Sembawang 

Regular (>3 months)
At least once a week/ bi-weekly for three months

Weekdays or Weekends (daytime for half a day, 3 to 5 hours)
Weekday nights (7pm to 10pm)

Volunteer Role Description

  • Operational assistance to planning and executing of programs at Kang Le Day Hospice


Volunteer Specifications

  • Willing to engage in physical contact with clients who are terminally ill (e.g. cancer)

  • Volunteers are at least 18 years old

  • Phyiscally Fit

  • Have interest in end-of-life care

  • Willing to engage in physical contact with clients who are terminally ill

  • Preferably able to speak dialects

  • Religion-sensitive

  • Need not have prior experience as training will be provided

  • Volunteers to dress smart casual, no revealing clothing allowed

Vigil Angels

HCA Hospice Care

Volunteer Role Description

  • Project  Vigil Angel aims to provide a very dignified death for the dying  clients and leaving behind a comforting memory for the bereaved  families.

  • To partner a nurse to provide basic nursing care for clients and respite care for the family.

  • Volunteers  will be invited to support when a client makes a request. This can be  within 24h on weekdays or Saturdays. The team will typically provide the  experience between 9am - 6pm from Mon - Sat.

  • Willing to engage in physical contact with clients who are terminally ill (e.g. cancer)

  • Volunteers are at least 18 years old

  • Phyiscally Fit

  • Have interest in end-of-life care

  • Willing to engage in physical contact with clients who are terminally ill
