Care Corner Singapore

Volunteer Role Description

When children are being read stories, there are many benefits they gain. We are therefore looking for volunteers to read to our children with learning and special needs, ranging from K1 to P6. The programme aims to spread that joy of  stories and reading to these children so that they can reap the benefits too.

The 12-week programme will be held over Zoom, with each session lasting about 45 minutes to 1 hour. The session timing is flexible; volunteers will liaise with the family to set their sessions.

The sessions will either be on a weekly or fortnightly basis. Volunteers committing on a fortnightly basis will be grouped with others on a similar schedule, and will rotate with the other group to read to the assigned beneficiary.

Join us today to read to our children with learning and special needs!
