Volunteer Role Description:
Provide quality education by tutoring Primary - Secondary school students from low-income families in partnership with Lumie Lessons Education Social Enterprise.
Tutoring opportunities are open for all subjects at Pri-Sec level.
Volunteer Specifications & Additional Information:
At least 16 years of age and sat for "O" and/or "A"-levels examinations
Able to commit to at least 1 student for online/on site tutoring
Minimum commitment of 3 months (1.5 hours per week)
Volunteer will be screened by Lumie Lessons' recruitment team following application before assignment to tutoring role
To note: Exact dates/time/venue to be decided and agreed by both the staff in-charge from Lumie and the volunteer.

Reading Captain
Care Corner Educational Therapy Service (Tampines)
Volunteers will assist Facilitator during the program as Reading Captain.
Volunteers will be reading books to children to help facilitate attention and focus during class
Volunteers should be 18 years old and above.
Volunteers should also have a good command of the English language.
Volunteers should be able to connect with child.
Volunteers should be able to handle child's behaviour.
Volunteers able to commit minimum of 3 months, twice a week.
Volunteers available from 3pm - 6pm on weekdays (minimum of 1.5h timeslot)
Briefing and training will be provided on the job with supervision

Health advocates promote preventive screening programmes and encourage positive health behaviour among patients, loved ones and the community.
Volunteer Role Description
Promote preventive screening programmes
Giving out screening kits (e.g., Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) kits & assist with sign-up
Provide thematic health education (at the booth or on foot)
This could be shared during the screening as we explain the role for health advocate to volunteers.
Volunteer Specifications & Additional Information
Bilingual (Spoken English and another language or dialect), relevant training will be provided.
Minimally age 17 years old and above (by the year of birth).
Fully vaccinated against COVID19.
Attire Required: Volunteer t-shirt and badge will be provided.
Preferably weekdays
Commit up to at least 3 months (minimally once a week, 2 hours per session)

Support, guide and educate patients to build their digital literacy knowledge in the polyclinic / healthcare environment (e.g. use of self-help kiosks, telemedicine, healthhub mobile app).
Assist patients in navigating the appointment journey (e.g. wayfinding)
Assist in answering any general enquires, move around proactively look out for anyone in need of help.

Volunteer Role Description:
To assist the team during weekly programmes
Interact with seniors and encourage participation/ engagement.
Volunteer may be required to assist in bringing items to seniors at their homes (ration distribution exercise).
Volunteer may be required to assist seniors to come to the Activity Ageing Centre, e.g. fetch and send seniors on wheelchair to the centre for activities.
Volunteer Role Specifications:
Preferably 18 years old and above.
Able to converse in local languages (e.g. English, Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu, Tamil) or dialects (e.g. Cantonese, Hokkien, etc.)
Physically fit
Friendly, sociable, patient, willing to communicate with seniors. Passion to help others.
Proactive with good interpersonal skills and comfortable communicating with seniors.
Have volunteering experience in engaging seniors in a community setting.
