Volunteer Role Name: Care Neighbours (Marsiling/Woodlands)
Volunter Role Description:
Together with a team of Social Workers, the volunteer enables and supports seniors to age gracefully in the community by:
1. Conducting regular home visits to befriend seniors, monitor their well-being and medical compliance.
2. Escorting seniors to and from their medical appointments. (Adhoc)
3. Bringing seniors around on wheelchair to run essential errands such as grocery shopping. (Adhoc)
*Volunteers may choose to perform some or all three functions. Training will be provided.
Volunteer Specifications:
Minimum 18years old and above
Both genders welcome
Basic reading and writing skills.
Able to communicate in any local languages (English, Mandarin, Malay, Tamil) or dialects (eg. Hokkien, Cantonese, etc).
Comfortable interacting with elderly. Prior experience interacting with elderly is helpful but not necessary as training will be provided.

Able to commit 1 – 3hrs every 2 weeks. (Duration may be longer if escorting senior to and from their medical appointments)
Able to commit for 3 months or longer.
Volunteers will be required to attend 1 training session before being deployed.
